Missionary Spotlight: Carlos Salazar

This month we’re celebrating the ministry of Carlos Salazar, a Nazarene missionary serving as the communications coordinator for the Mesoamerica Region. Carlos often says he sees God moving “even in the smallest details,” and that perspective shapes everything he does.


Carlos leads a communications team that supports churches across 33 countries, helping pastors, leaders, and congregations stay connected to the mission of making Christlike disciples. Through media, training, and storytelling, his team works behind the scenes to inform, inspire, and equip the church throughout the region.


Carlos and his family live and serve in Costa Rica, where he continues to share the story of Jesus—the same story that transformed his own life. One of his greatest joys is knowing that the resources they create can help someone encounter Christ for the very first time.


He also shares how God has faithfully provided for their ministry, opening doors and supplying resources exactly when they’re needed. That steady provision gives Carlos and his team confidence as they serve, knowing God is present and walking with them every step of the way.
