A Nazarene church founded in 2000 recently lost its building. The government in Central Asia did not allow the church to keep the building on land they did not own. Through prayer, divine intervention, and conversations with officials, they received another building in exchange for the one that was taken. It is smaller and in a different area but is still nearby the previous location.


Unfortunately, the building was not fit to be used as a church. It had no water or electricity and only bare walls. This is where the Alabaster offering made a difference!

Using Alabaster funds, the church bought materials and hired workers to renovate the building. They redid the second floor to create classrooms, transformed the first floor into a space that could be used as a sanctuary, and built a small apartment within the building for the pastor and his family to live. Church members also participated in the work of renovating the building, which fostered the unity of the congregation.


The church hopes this new building will be a place where they can strengthen their youth and children’s ministries, as well as offering guitar and language classes to impact the local community through outreach.

A leader of the church writes, “Our church, on behalf of all church members, expresses gratitude to the worldwide Church of the Nazarene for its assistance in the reconstruction and renovation of the church building. This was a great help for us and helped us complete the renovation in the shortest possible time, making it possible to use the building for various types of services to God in the church.”
